WHITE PAPER · 2026

Building versus buying.

Why a dentist-owned group grows by opening and nurturing its own offices — and what that choice means for patients, clinicians and long-term value.

01 — THE THESIS

The strongest practices are grown, not assembled.

Most consolidation in dentistry runs on acquisition: buy established practices, layer on central services, and plan for an exit. It is fast, and it is expensive in ways that rarely show up on a deal sheet — culture, clinical autonomy and continuity of care.

We chose the slower path. Since 2016 Piccadilly Dental Alliance has grown by building offices with the dentists who practice in them. We embrace holistic development and organic growth so that we can stay independently owned by dentists.

02 — WHAT WE BELIEVE

Ownership shapes care.

iThe best decisions are made by those who practice.Dentists lead the group they help build, so every choice is weighed against one question: is it right for the patient?
iiGrowth should be earned, not acquired. Each new office opens because a community needs it and a team is ready to serve it — not because a deal was available.
iiiCulture is built once, and shared. When every office starts the same way, patients feel the same standard of care wherever they walk in.
03 — HOW WE BUILD

Four steps, repeated with care.

01SiteWe choose communities with real, unmet need and a location patients can reach easily.
02TeamWe recruit and train front-desk, assistant and clinical teams together, so the office opens as one team.
03SystemsShared technology, supply chain and practice management carry the business load, so dentists don’t have to.
04OwnershipDentists practice with peace of mind, and with a path to ownership in the group they help build.
04 — WORK WITH US

Build with us, not for someone else.

Whether you are a dentist considering your next step or an operator interested in our model, we would welcome the conversation.
